Web design Brisbane: websites that win enquiries across Queensland
If you’re looking for web design in Brisbane, you probably want a website that turns visitors into enquiries, not a prettier copy of the one you have.

Web designer Brisbane or a design team: which do you need?
Pick on who will still answer in year three, not on who is closest or how big they are. A solo web designer in Brisbane can suit a small site that rarely changes. A site that carries enquiries needs someone committed to it for years, because the build takes a few months and the looking-after takes years. Ask each one who updates, secures and improves the site after launch, who covers leave, and get it in writing.
01
Local studio
Easy to meet in person. Cover for leave and care after launch vary from studio to studio, so ask for both in writing.
02
Solo web designer
You work with the person doing the design. I worked that way myself for years. Ask who covers busy weeks and leave, and whether care after launch is part of the deal.
03
National team
My team at WP Creative: 40+ people, working by video, building and looking after the site under one team. On-site visits can be arranged for larger projects.
Does my web designer need to be in Brisbane?
Usually not, whether you hire a website designer in Brisbane or further afield. What matters is whether the designer understands your buyers, can show live work with results, and answers when something breaks. Most workshops, reviews and sign-offs already happen on video, even between businesses in the same suburb. A local designer earns their place when you need regular on-site photography or large in-person workshops.
I’ve run one team across Sydney and Kathmandu since 2016, and the lesson I keep relearning is that distance rarely slows a website down. Unclear sign-off does. Name one person on your side who can say yes, and the postcode stops mattering.
A local designer matters when: you need regular on-site shoots, in-person workshops with large groups, or a designer at your events.
A remote team works when: the work is a website, decisions happen on video, and you want capacity behind the designer. That’s most projects.

Queensland work from the team I lead
What should a Brisbane website get right?
The same basics as anywhere, plus a few that come up again and again in Queensland web design projects: one platform for several locations, pages that update fast and stay up when the weather turns, a design tested on a phone first, and proof from people like your buyers.
Clifton Lifestyle taught me what the wrong structure costs. Its website had grown one resort at a time: a group site, resort sections and old standalone domains still linked from live pages, with dozens of duplicate pages competing with each other in Google. Every new community meant more setup and more search work, so growth had turned into a tax. My team rebuilt it as one WordPress network with a section per resort, then worked through every redirect and duplicate the merge exposed. Now the next resort is a section, not a project.
01
Multiple locations, one brand
Businesses serving Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and regional towns often do best on one platform with a section per location. Locations run as separate businesses can need more independence, so let the operating model decide.
02
Weather and service updates
Utilities, councils, schools and tourism operators need pages that update fast and stay up under load. Agree which alerts and service pages must remain available and who can publish urgent changes.
03
Mobile first
Test the important journeys on a phone and desktop, using your own device data to set priorities. PRD Burleigh Heads went from 24 to 93 on mobile PageSpeed.
04
Proof from people like them
Local case studies and Google reviews from people like your buyers beat generic logos and stock photos, for visitors and for AI assistants.
What should I check before I hire a web designer in Brisbane?
Check that the address they show is real, that the work they show is live and theirs, and that your domain, hosting and accounts will sit in your name. Then ask what happens if you leave. A good designer makes leaving easy, because they expect to keep you on results, not on contract terms.
Ask for a handover demonstration: one of your editors publishes an approved page, and a test enquiry reaches the right inbox or CRM with its source intact. A design approval alone does not test either job.
Google reviews are a fast first check. WP Creative has 100+ five-star reviews, and any Brisbane web designers you shortlist should be able to show you theirs.
- Is the office real? (Mine isn’t in Brisbane, and this page says so.)
- Can I see live work like ours, and what changed after launch?
- Will the domain, hosting and analytics be in our name?
- Is there a lock-in contract?
- Will you tell us if we don’t need a new website?
“Honesty is a growth strategy: your accounts in your name, no lock-in, and I’ll tell you when you don’t need us.”

How do I make it easy for AI assistants to place my business in Brisbane?
State plainly, on pages that rank, who you are, what you do and which places you serve: Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba. Back it with local work and reviews, and earn mentions on sites assistants already trust. AI assistants assemble answers from those signals. Nobody can promise you a ChatGPT recommendation, so measure it over time.
Being found early still matters. In an AirOps study of 50,553 ChatGPT answers, the page at the top of ChatGPT’s own retrieval results was cited 58.4% of the time, against 14.2% at position 10. That is a correlation in one assistant’s app, not Google rank or a promise for other engines. Give real locations and service areas useful, distinct coverage without inventing offices or duplicating suburb pages. An agent-ready website starts with testing whether the intended tools can reach and read the information. Whether they recommend you is something to measure over time, not assume.

Web design, web development or a WordPress developer in Brisbane?
Start with the job, not the job title. If the site needs to look right and convert, that’s website design in Brisbane, and it’s this page. If it connects to a CRM, a booking system, a portal or a store, that’s development-led. If you already run WordPress and need it extended or fixed, you want a WordPress developer.
Most Queensland projects need some of each, which is why one team doing all three helps.
01
Website design
Structure, design and content that turn Brisbane visitors into enquiries. You’re on the right page.
03
WordPress development
Custom blocks, fixes and extensions to a WordPress site you already have. See WordPress developer in Brisbane.
What my team designs and builds
01
Custom website design
Designed in Figma, then built as a block library your team can reuse for new pages. See WordPress web design.
02
Multi-location platforms
One platform that adds a new site or location as a section, not a project, the way Clifton Lifestyle adds each new resort.
03
Redesigns
A new design planned to protect the rankings you’ve earned, with old URLs mapped to retained pages, relevant redirects or intentional removals before launch and rankings checked after.
04
Ongoing care
Updates, security and improvements for Brisbane sites, for years after launch. See WordPress maintenance in Brisbane.
Why work with Nirmal Gyanwali on web design Brisbane?
I’m Nirmal Gyanwali, founder of WP Creative, and I’ve designed and built websites since 2005. The pressure on clicks is real, though it varies by market: SparkToro found that 68% of US Google searches ended without a click from January to April 2026. That is a US benchmark, not a measurement of your Brisbane audience. Check your own search visits and enquiry rate before deciding what to change.
So let me be straight with you from the start. I’m based in Sydney, and my team at WP Creative works from Sydney and Kathmandu. We don’t have a Brisbane office, and I won’t invent one. We work with Queensland organisations remotely every week, from a statewide water supplier to resort communities and multi-location clinics. On-site visits can be arranged for larger projects.
Because you get the honest version from the first line. I’ve designed and built websites since 2005, founded WP Creative in 2016 on an $18,000 loan, and grew it to 40+ people and 1,200+ businesses served. Queensland work is a real part of that: government, property, health and resort communities.
I set the direction and the standards; my team designs, builds and looks after the sites, with a project manager who owns delivery. You talk with me or my team on the first call.
I build and test AI workflows every day, and my team uses the data across our WPO framework to find issues and decide what to fix first. Claude Code works within project rules and review steps. Your marketing team owns the strategy; we handle the technical architecture and delivery. If your Brisbane site needs a fix rather than a rebuild, I’ll say so.

Web design Brisbane FAQs
Is there a Brisbane office?
No. My team works from Sydney (Ultimo) and Kathmandu, and works with Brisbane and Queensland clients by video. On-site visits can be arranged for larger projects. I’d rather tell you that upfront than have you find out from a Google Maps listing that isn’t real.
Will time zones get in the way?
No. Brisbane runs on AEST all year. During daylight saving, Sydney is an hour ahead, and my team’s support hours, 8am to 8pm Sydney time, still cover the whole Queensland business day. Outside daylight saving, Brisbane and Sydney are on the same clock.
Does this cover the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast?
Yes, the same way it covers Brisbane. My team looks after websites across south-east Queensland, including PRD Burleigh Heads, a real estate agency on the Gold Coast, and resort communities including Toowoomba. Regional Queensland works the same way. We work by video; on-site visits can be arranged for larger projects.
How much does web design cost in Brisbane?
It depends on scope, not the city: how many templates, how much content moves across, what the site connects to and how many ranking URLs must be protected. I don’t publish prices here. My website design cost guide explains how to judge a quote, and WP Creative publishes its offer at wpcreative.com.au.
How long does a new website take for a Brisbane business?
A typical custom build takes 6 to 10 weeks from kickoff to launch. Multi-location sites and migrations from older platforms take longer. Content readiness and approvals move the timeline more than development does, so name one person who can sign off before you start.
Can a new team take over our Brisbane website?
Yes, and changing providers is not a reason to rebuild. Get access back, take a backup, then audit plugins, hosting, security and tracking. Most inherited sites need repair, not replacement. Here is how a new team takes over a website someone else built.
Will a website redesign hurt our Google rankings in Brisbane?
It doesn’t have to, but nobody can guarantee rankings through a relaunch. Planning cuts the risk: map and redirect every URL that gets traffic before launch, keep the content on pages that rank, then watch rankings and fix gaps in the weeks after. Redirect mistakes, accidental noindex rules, content changes and broken internal links all deserve checks. The steps are on my website redesign page, and search-specific help is on my SEO Brisbane page.
