Every month we’ll go into the back end of your site. Review and then update the WordPress core, themes and plug-ins that are out-of-date. It’s website maintenance like this, that converts prospects into clients on a continual basis.
You’ll have a dedicated account manager who’s responsible for all your website maintenance. Any issues, just pick up the phone or email. They’re all yours. And our average response is pretty fast.
You can’t carry out effective website maintenance without security checks and performance monitoring. So this is hard-wired into our service. We will do a security check and monitor performance from time to time.
Your site is backed-up regularly off-site, and back-ups are securely stored for 30 days and can be restored in an emergency situation. Now you’ll never lose your website. Ever.
We actively hunt for, and fix 404 errors and broken links. We also optimise your database, if you have one, while filtering for any spam and overall cleansing of your website
If you want to change a landing page or anything else that might improve conversation rates – we’re happy to work on an ad-hoc basis as part of the website maintenance plan.
Urgent website repair required? It’s best to contact us before something breaks, but if that’s already happened give us a call and we’ll fix it straight away. Then, we can discuss preventing that from happening ever again!
Just give us a call or email, to begin with, one of our developers will take a look at your site and discuss your requirements. If you experience any issues in particular, like speed, performance or security just let us know, and we’ll be sure to address them in your monthly website care plan. If you also have a wish list or priorities, please feel free to share with us so we can prepare a plan to address them.
Every website and back-end system is unique, so we’ll tailor a website maintenance plan to suit your requirements and business goals. No need paying for shopping cart updates if you don’t have one, for example. Specific issues can be addressed as part of the maintenance plan, or if there’s a desperately urgent need, we can address them separately.
If you’re happy with the proposed website maintenance plan, we’ll get to work. First backing-up your entire website, before creating a staging server at our end. Then we’ll schedule all the work and start fixing issues, updating plugins & themes. Once all the website maintenance is complete (and you’ve signed off) we’ll push the changes to the live server where our QA engineers do a final test.
Just contact us here, or call 02 9281 3250 and ask! We’re always happy to talk about website maintenance in Sydney, and we’ll figure out a solution that works for your website, and your business.
Every website maintenance plan is different, but in general, plans start from $495 p/m. That includes:
We’ll take care of it straight away. Generally, it’s a simple case of restoring the most recent back-up, and we can often place an ‘under maintenance’ screen on your site while we restore the files. Occasionally, more complex work is required and if that’s the case, our hourly rates will apply. The good news, for sure – is that you won’t have to deal with it!
Unfortunately in this day and age, nobody can give you that kind of guarantee. However if you let us keep your site updated & backed-up, you’ll be keeping the majority of hackers and malware out of your systems. On the hosting side, once again no hosting company will guarantee 100% uptime, however getting the site back up again after a momentary slip is a key.
Yes, you do. Sometimes a WordPress update and a plug-in update will clash, and create an issue that simply never existed before – so backing up your site before every update is very important. We do this as standard practice, so if there’s ever an issue we can quickly revert to the version that works, while we work through the problems. Don’t worry though, we do this all the time, and we’ve never come across an issue we couldn’t fix, not yet anyway!
Some do and some don’t. And the level of service is variable, as in – how long the back-ups are kept for, how often your site is backed-up, how easy it is to restore, and how long it takes to do! No hosting provider is going to know your website like we do though. We’re like your local mechanic, while the hosting company is like an Amazon warehouse. You’re just a number for them, we know how your website works, and how to fix it too.
Yes. You’ll find it easier to use, and your visitors (potential customers) will have a more engaging experience. Bugs & glitches appear in software all the time, so updating the plug-ins & themes helps address issues you might not even know you have!
If you want people to visit your site, stay there and hopefully buy from you – then you need to update your site regularly. It’s as simple as that. Oh, your SEO will suffer too if you don’t keep up with your website maintenance schedule.
Yes, they do, and in some respect, that’s the most important reason to keep your site updated. If your website crashes and you go out of business that’s bad enough, but if your site is compromised and hackers access client information – you can be criminally liable.
The number of attacks on sites worldwide is on the increase, and WordPress is the most popular system, so you absolutely need to protect the security of your passwords, details and all information on an ongoing basis. Website maintenance and updates help prevent all of that.
Because they’re created to solve problems, fix errors, speed up your website and prevent security issues. So if you stick your head in the sand and ignore them, you’ll only get away with it for so long.
It’s like your car. If you don’t service it eventually something’s going to break, and it’ll cause more harm than if you’d caught the issue earlier, and addressed it when you had the chance. Same with your phone, or your computer. Without regular maintenance & updates the software slows down, you’re more at risk of hacking, and you’ll miss out on new and useful features too!
Website maintenance is actually business, and sales develop maintenance. It’s that important.
No contracts, no lock-ins. We work on a month to month basis, so if you’re not happy at any time just give us 30 days’ notice, and we’re gone. That doesn’t happen very often though, so be prepared to have us quietly working away in the background for some time.
Just like your phone, the WordPress platform is constantly refined to improve performance, fix bugs and improve security. So if you don’t update, you could be in trouble before long.
And it’s the same for your plug-ins. What works perfectly one month may break the following month, and if you don’t visit every page, every single day you’d never know!
Plans are tailored to your business, website and its requirements, however, most website maintenance plans include:
More than you might think. Constant security updates, monthly monitoring and updating of plug-ins, themes & core WordPress functionality. Speed and performance monitoring, and the resolution of any issues that appear. Actively searching for errors and then fixing them.
It’s a constant, ongoing process that’s best left to website maintenance experts. And if we do our job properly, you’ll never even notice!
